I did not sign us up for another research study but did volunteer to be the control school - which means we do nothing. I know - it doesn't sound right, but it is - you don't have to do anything but take a survey twice, beginning and end. My name is MeLinda Prado and I am a BSU Intern at Mill Creek Elementary School. I have recently spoken with Carolyn Loffer about using your school as a control school by surveying your teachers. I am very grateful that you have agreed to possibly work with us during this experience.
We are working on our Inquiry project concerning the motivation of our teacher population at Mill Creek Elementary School and how we can improve it. We are interested in having our teachers complete a survey and then change a few motivational techniques. This would be followed by another repeat of the same survey again completed the last week of April, with the final date of response being the April 30th 2013.
Would you be willing to act as our control school for our survey,offering the survey within the next 2 weeks and then again the last week of April with no changes to your environment concerning motivation? We would make sure that you receive all data results from your school survey? And also let you know how our motivational techniques either helped or hindered our teacher responses for your own personal use later on.
