Your Work Day

Today is a work day for teachers to prepare for the year.  Most of you have been in for training or to work in your rooms or both, but this is the official start.  :)
Few notes -

• We have 504 meetings scheduled for the morning and interviews for the additional teacher in the afternoon.  
• Lisa has been working VERY HARD the past few days to update class lists, enrolling students and moving students between classes. Most should be ready to print.  Check for updates.  :)
• Tech department has been working long days to prepare your computers (and other stuff) for your return.  Check with Darcy for your little needs the next few days and use IT Assist for other issues.  They will be addressed as quickly as possible. 
• If you meet as a grade level you can sign up for recess duties and determine representatives for the various committees.  
• Morning recess will need all of third grade teachers and two each from 1st, 2nd and 5th.  
• Afternoon recess will need all of 4th grade plus one 5th, and two each from 1st and 2nd.

• I will post a list on the office window for you to fill in names AFTER discussing as a team. 
• Lots of newbies around the building to meet and welcome: Student teachers Carolyn Howard, Amanda Pattee and Trent Harrison.  Teachers: Elsa Nelson (music),  Tiffany Caagbay (kindergarten), Kyle Miller (first), Dana Creekmore (fifth) and one more to be determined. 
• Monday morning we have an all District meeting at the High School beginning at 8:15.  Breakfast is provided before and it is highly recommended that you arrive early to have your ID photo taken.  Photos and breakfast will be available starting at 7am.
• Syringa Bank is hosting an appreciation lunch and you are all invited. 
• Monday afternoon we will have our opening staff meeting starting at 1:30 p.m. in the library.
• Tuesday you may adjust your work hours to accommodate Open House from 5:30-6:30p.m.  If you are expected to be here that evening your official hours are 11-6:45p.m.
