Quick Update

Thank you for your patience as we figure out the lunch schedule and procedures.  Here is the latest updates to times and bells.  Hopefully this will solve transitions, tables and timing.  I'll type it in a timeline fashion here, and will also update the Master Schedule with lunchroom and post to the documents page.

• Kindergarten will go to recess and then to lunch at 11:30.
• 11:35 first grade goes to the lunchroom accompanied by teachers.
• 11:35 second grade to the playground.
• Fourth grade to the playground
• 11:50 Third grade comes to the lunchroom.
• 11:55 Second grade from playground to lunchroom w/ Glendi monitoring in hall.
• First grade is dismissed to playground from the lunchroom.
• Fifth grade is dismissed to playground from classrooms.
• 12:00 Fourth grade to the lunchroom from playground w/Glendi monitoring in hall.
• 12:10 Third grade is dismissed to playground from the lunchroom.
• 12:15 Fifth grade from playground to lunchroom w/ Rhonda monitoring in hall.
• First grade returns to class from the playground w/ teachers
• Second grade returns to class from lunchroom w/teachers
• Fourth grade returns to class from lunchroom w/teachers
• 12:30 Third grade returns to class from playground w/teachers
• 12:35 Fifth grade returns to class from lunchroom w/teachers.

We will have a couple fire drills this week.  If you have not taught your class proper procedures please do so early Monday.  Include:

• We practice so we know what to do if there was an emergency.
• No matter where they are in the building - do not return to class, but rather meet at your spot.
• Students need to be VERY quiet during a fire drill so that they can hear and follow instructions if  adjustments are necessary.
• Teachers should have a current class lists (with parent contact numbers) hung by the door.  This list should be taken outside in case of emergency. 
• Attendance or count should be taken immediately with class outside.  Report any missing children to the adults at the edge of the grass in front of the flag pole.  Include last known location if possible. 
• Classroom doors MUST be closed on your way out. (Assign the caboose to close the door always.)
• Continual ringing of the bell signals to return to the building, ALWAYS.  Even if they are playing at recess and the bells ring consecutively they should come into the building and back to class.
