It appears that updates happen to the blog two or three times a week.  If you have not already, I suggest you subscribe to feeds.  You will then get notifications of new information.

• My Big Campus - we have asked you to begin using MBC for blogs and student collaborative projects.  I do not have the answers to the program, but know someone who does.  Paige Goodson is hired by the District this year to assist with Professional Development with instructional technology information.  MBC training seemed like a good opportunity to utilize this new resource.  If you are interested, please join Stephanie Santero and Paige in OUR computer lab, Thursday, August 30th at 3:05pm.
  
• Lunch Tweaks - really things are going better than in the past as far as duties and lunchroom behavior.  It is quite impressive to have less students eating at a time. 
•  Fourth grade requires the most tweaking.  Only second grade lines up and comes it at the first bell (11:55).  Fourth grade has five more minutes to play.  Fourth grade bell rings at noon to line up and come in. 
• If second grade is not through the line it does not allow enough time for fourth grade to eat.  Fourth grade teachers may plan to pick their students up at 12:20 rather than 12:15.  We will not add a bell, but use the 12:15 for a five minute warning (for students and teachers).  Please be on time to pick them up from the lunchroom. 
• Fifth grade is not done eating until 12:35 but they need to use the 12:30 bell as a warning and be ready to move out.  Teachers need to be on time to pick up as music begins on the other side of the curtain at 12:30.
• Two sets of servers are required.  Bruce is sending us three students from his class.  Sandy has provided servers this first week.  We could use students from grades 2-5 and could be students who need to pay fines or fees. 
  
• Student job applications are out.  Please encourage your class to apply.  Applications are by the 'mailbox' in the entryway.  We need to fill the following positions as soon as possible:
• Lunch servers
• Lunch host and hostess (handing out trays, condiments, handwipes)
• Color guard (flags morning and afternoon)
• Messengers (run messages at end of day from office)
  
• We are still a few weeks out from having Scoreshaper to hold and sort our intervention and universal screening data.  We have a spreadsheet on the t:drive/share/scoreshaper for keeping the data until then. 
  
• PBIS meeting on Monday had the following information to share, but check with your grade level rep for details:
• We all need to begin using the SWIS forms for all student behavior.  Angie is having them copied and placed in your box.  Please be careful to document time accurately as this data feeds school decisions for interventions.  We ALL need to be consistent in completing these for minor and major infractions. 
• Character assembly will be the first Friday of the month at 8:15.  We need Toni to help us with an assembly seating chart again.  Please review the assembly behavior expectations before the first assembly.
• Gold Club membership will start fresh each year.  We will discuss this and postcards at assembly.
• T-shirts will be slightly modified but used again for our students showing positive character.
