Online Curriculum

I have been able to take your ideas and rework monies to purchase some new online programming for next year.  I have asked for feedback on these over the past several months.  I hope that these help us target students more specifically and fill gaps in some of our resources.  These don't even include what you are finding for iPad use.  :)

Reading:
  • Waterford will be available in kindergarten and first grade as an intervention.  I am trying to secure another round of professional development to assist with student placement and report options.  Waterford can also be used with your projectors as a full class lesson.  It has research to support ELL instruction also.
  • Raz Kids from AtoZ Learning will be available for all first and second grade students as well as Title I, Special Education, GT and RTI intervention.
  • AR and STAR will be purchased for third through fifth grade as well as fluent advanced readers from lower grades (limited).  We still need to rework goals and certificate levels.
  • Expressions Kits (4 total) will be available for kindergarten, first and RTI intervention for students oral and written expression development.  PD will be purchased for this program.  **This is an hands on kit, not an online program, but felt it could be introduced here.

Math:
  • Waterford will be available in kindergarten and as a first grade and RTI intervention.
  • Math Whizz will be an online Tier 2 intervention. (50 students total, second-fifth grade most likely)
  • Apangea is getting a new name, but should be encouraged for upper third and fourth through fifth grade students.
  • Plato is also available as an intervention for math.
