2011-2012 Class Loads

As of this moment, this is how grade levels seem to be shaking out - it appears that we are loosing a number of our second going into third grade students.  Of these, six are fairly difficult behavior kids.  Third grade is our lowest number of NEW students enrolling.  So I have decided to move our combo class to the first/second grade level to reduce these numbers.  Cynthia, in all her professional graciousness, has agreed to teach this combo class. (Don't you just love teachers who will do whatever is best fit for kids and others?)
As you develop class lists this week use these numbers:

• Kindergarten - 4(sections)
• First      - 3.5
• Second - 3.5
• Third     - 3
• Fourth   - 2.5
• Fifth      - 2.5

We will keep the combination classes as all girls.  Develop an all boys first through fifth.  Third grade we may need to wait and look at possibilities.  Jelena has offered to teach a gender separate classroom, but we still have open spots and do not know if we can support both gender separate classes in third.  When second grade works on these lists, let me know.
