For all certified staff - this is one of the days added to your contract. The District has asked us to be consistent across buildings on the use of these additional days but not necessarily the purpose. So here are some things you should know about tomorrow -
- If you are not planning to be here, you must submit a leave request form
- Contract hours are 8-3:45
- It is a contract day so dress according to policy
- We will begin at 8:30 in the library
- I will provide a light breakfast (yogurt, granola, fruit)
- Lunch is on your own - contract is 30 minutes, could trade out (work longer) for an hour.
- We can collect money and order pizza to be delivered if you would like. Just pay in the morning just like other Fridays.
- Let me know if you plan to take the hour. I understand sometimes it is nice to get out and about.
- The goal is to produce a draft of our school RtI policy and procedures - a guiding document.
- We will start as a whole group
- Break off into designated groups for major work
- Completed drafts (short of editing and peer review) should be turned in when complete so they can be compiled into one document. Please include names of team members so we can contact representatives with questions and feedback.
- Additional time can be used for professional development activities, such as
- grade level team work on assessments
- personal portfolio work on assessment work
- reviewing data to revise student interventions
- reviewing your professional development plans and writing up your annual review (especially those on Plan II of the teacher evaluation cycle).
- meet with Robin to discuss your observation or evaluation or professional development plan
