Bathroom Expectations
I was visiting with Adam and Sandy about the student bathrooms being short on paper towels and soap lately. They shared with me that they have been filling and checking both towels and soap. The actual problem lies with the behavior of our students. We need to be more vigilant about monitoring groups of students and individuals who are unsupervised in the restrooms. If you have students report a lack of soap, please report and document the time so that we can check the video of who was in there just prior.
Basically, the soap dispensers have a button on the bottom which pop them open. Students are popping them open and either removing the soap or turning the bottle around so that it squirts inside the box rather than out onto hands. When Adam went to fill the dispensers the other day after they were reported empty, he found all of the FULL soap bottles thrown in the trash. When addressing this issue with your class, be careful not to teach them how to do this themselves. Rather address the positive expectations and the need to report concerns immediately. Thank you for your help
