Middleton Heights Elementary

This is the workshop that many of us were scheduled to attend shortly after school was out, but it got canceled at the last moment.  They offered to bring the workshop to us and allowed up to 20 additional participants.  This is a one day, all day training.  There is no expectation or stipend for attending. 

Aligning Assessments to the Common Core Standards

• Understanding the need for appropriate assessment types
• Understanding various assessment types (deconstructing standards using the CC deconstruction rubric
• Creating standards-based assessment items
• Action planning and reflection

I do need to know SOON if you are planning to attend.  They are sending materials and requesting a list of participants.  Please send me an email if you would like to participate.

**Reminder - we have two P.D. days set aside in August to build off of this and our math work.  August 9 & 10 you will have team time with coaches from the Boise State Writing Project to begin combining the Language Arts CCSS with one history or science topic as an inquiry unit.  Again these two days are not required, but they will come with a small stipend for those who attend.  Please let me know if you are interested in participating in August.**
