- Lisa Foote - what a doll. She worked hour after hour to help with food, to open and close the building, to pick up and deliver items, loan items, serve people, clean up, clean up and more clean up. She worked so very hard on my behalf........ What an amazing woman you are.
- Catherine Hicks - from the get-go she volunteered to empty trash, straighten chairs, etc. She ironed table cloths, wrote the menu on the chalkboard, loaned me cake supplies.... Such a caring, sharing heart.
- Nina Hatchett - helped with food prep Friday and Saturday plus served and led the dish clean up duty! She even recruited others - Cindy Kahre, who joined in to assist with food on Saturday.
- Angie Young - model of servant leader. She got us deals on extra table cloths which she picked up and returned, helped with food prep, decoration of the new set up of tent for ceremony and tent for reception. She stayed late cleaning up glass from the lawn and hauling materials to the garage.
- Thanks to all who came to share in our special event. They day was great - despite the shaky weather.
A couple of staffing changes have taken place recently. We are thrilled to welcome Dana Creekmore to our staff full-time, filling in the spot left by Cynthia's year leave of absence. Dana worked last year as a part time EA for our overloaded grade levels. She has many years of teaching experience in lots of different settings. That team has already begun planning and included Dana.
Gretchen Smith has accepted the open GT position. She is an incredible teacher from Mill Creek who has collaborated over the past year with a number of our teachers after hours. She has a lot to share and a lot to learn in her new position.
Today I received a copy of a letter of resignation from Lise Hansen. She has accepted a job closer to her home in Boise, allowing her quicker access to her father and family.
REMINDER
Do not change or add to the first page of you iPads. The first screen is designated for District apps. This is important for our IT department when they are asked to assist you with issues. Are you using them? Are you making new discoveries? I'm 'listening' for items from you to share on the blog.
