There are not enough words to express the appreciation I have for you and the work you do for children.  You are the most amazing group of servant leaders, giving of yourselves for students, families, colleagues and District.  Thank you.  And for all the times I've missed saying thank you - THANK YOU!.
Next week PTA will provide lunch in your honor.  Wednesday the MEA will have cinnamon rolls for your morning break.  Thursday the PAC will be here to BBQ lunch for you.  If nothing else, you will be well fed.

PLEEEEEEEASE make sure that you enter any time off in Skyward!  This is necessary for the District Office to balance the payroll for you and the substitutes.  If you receive an email reminder from Lori Buckway, respond quickly to enter the dates you were gone.  She is going to carbon copy principals from now till the end of the year.  I get enough emails on my own.  So please make sure that you enter in Skyward when you go through Aesop or when Lisa puts in a substitute request for you.  You are the only one who can put the time into Skyward. Thank you!

What if we didn't have Accelerated Reader?  Are we using it effectively?  Is it necessary to the work we are doing and the goals we have set?  Have you read recent research on the use of AR?  Just asking.  Are we using it because we have always used it or because it is effective?  We need to use our budgets for the greatest benefit.  Is that AR or some of these other computerized interventions?  Give me your thoughts.

Next Wednesday is the all district staff meeting during collaboration.  Please move through traffic as quickly as possible to arrive at the Middle School around 2:15 (if possible).  It may be best if you enter in front of the District Office and park in the church parking lot.  The meeting will be in the Cafetorium.

I received copier and printer costs for the year.  It is a great reminder that every print job to the printers in your room cost $.03, while the same work sent to the copier in the workroom only costs $.008.  Yes, that is 8tenths of a penny.  Here is the math: one teacher accumulated $.19 in printer charges for the same time period that another accumulated a bill of $88.64. Our total printing costs (not copier) comes to $734.64.  Where would you like to spend that money next year?

Yard signs in favor of the levy will arrive tomorrow and be available behind the Fine Arts Building.  If you live in the area and would like one for your yard and maybe some for your neighbors you may stop by and pick them up.  If you are able to help place yard signs Friday night or Saturday, let me know and I will put you in contact with the committee chairman.  Thank you for all the work you are putting into getting this levy passed on the 15th.
