Updates from Leadership Team

Adults need to use quiet voices in the hallways, kitchen, lunchroom and entry areas.  Voices carry up through hallways and up over the banister into fifth grade classrooms or areas where students are placed in the hall to complete assignments.  Often the adult conversations are just loud, but at other times they are not appropriate for younger ears (talking about confidential information).  Thank you for monitoring your voice and those of others around you (parents and visitors).


Students are not to change the color of the ISAT background and font.  They will waste time and make distracting choices for themselves.  Teachers who have students with this accommodation on their 504 or IEP (or use colored overlays in the classroom) may make this choice for those students as needed.

We added detail to the May calendar.  I will try to keep it up to date and add details if you open and item.  Your Leadership representative should be able to answer most of your questions.  Here are a few highlights added today:
  • Character assembly on Friday, May 4 (send any names that need recognized for character jobs they have done all year.  This is the time to acknowledge them.)
  • Friday, May 4th Last day to check out library books.
  • Tuesday, May 8th Last day for AR tests to count for awards and achievements
  • Wednesday, May 9th there is a District meeting scheduled during the collaboration time.
  • Thursday, May 10th No PE (for the rest of the year).
  • Thursday, May 10th LAST DAY FOR GRADES
  • Week of May 16th, no PE, music, library, counselor, special education, Title I
  • Monday, May 14th AR 500 pt lunch
  • Wednesday, May 16th, last day of school.  Dismiss at 11:50
  • Wednesday, May 16th fifth grade will have their fitness picnic and celebration
  • Wednesday, May 16th REPORTS CARDS WILL PRINT @ 8:20AM
  • Wednesday, May 16th after the students leave we will have a staff celebration lunch to close out the year.
  • Classified staff work Thursday and Friday and will do inventory then.
