There is not enough room in the 'thank you' column to acknowledge all the work that is taking place around this building.  ISAT, carnival, supplemental levy, teaching, discipline, duties, celebrations........ what a team!  Thank you.

A BIG thanks to all who participated in the levy information calling.  If every staff member identified three positive voters, we would meet the district goal.  Most of you surpassed that individually.  The comment I heard the most was the surprise of how many parents really did not know about the election.  :)  Great job, for stretching into the uncomfortable zone and achieving great results. If you are planning to attend any of the other events highlighted in the sidebar please send me a quick note so we have a head count.  (This is a picture of Bruce in action.)

This was Volunteer Appreciation Week.  We didn't make the date but we still want to acknowledge the great work they do for us in lightening our load.  Please submit a list of names or at least a number.  Lisa has frames.  Substitutes can cut borders for student signatures in the frames.  Next week we can get all the class pictures taken.  You might have students create thank you cards for those in your class.  I have cards if they just want to write a note of appreciation.

The end of the year is fast approaching.  I think all the events are linked to the calendar but details could be added as you send them to me.

• Next week is our last character assembly.  We need you to complete your behavior sheets for patch recognition. 
• Jayna has one student who has earned 500 AR points scheduled for May 14th.  Anyone else? 
• May 8th is final date for AR testing to qualify for any awards or achievements.
• Next Wednesday is your last team collaboration.  May 9th is full District meeting.

The 'new to us' modular will arrive late May or early June.  If we are provided additional teachers to offset class loads I would be looking for two willing partners to move out to the unit we currently have.  If you are capable and willing, please let me know.  I obviously won't make final decisions until summer, but want your opinions.

I am planning to share basic information on gender separate classes with parents next Thursday night. If you are interested in participating or have something you would like me to share, just say so.  :)  Our new student teachers will attend to get an understanding of our building and purpose.

Now if you read all the way through the entire blog, you might ask why I had such a silly poll in the side bar.  After all, who wants to shovel snow and how many will be having a baby on November 26th besides Cynthia?  Congratulations Cynthia & Dillon! (survey said 2)???
