The Supplemental Levy

There are a few things you need to know about the upcoming supplemental levy.  I will make some highlights here, but if you have questions please do not hesitate to ask.

• Middleton is running a two-year supplemental Levy election NEXT Tuesday, March 13, 2012
• This is a request to CONTINUE previous levy funding, not a new or increased request.
• This is the eleventh year that Middleton has run this levy election.  The previous ten were successful.
• Polls are open 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• If it does not pass next Tuesday, we will rerun in May and in August if needed.  If it fails completely, Middleton School District would need to cut an additional $1,060,000 from the budget somehow.
• It is important that we do our part to help this levy pass. 
• If you live in Middleton make sure you vote.  If you did not sign up for an absentee ballot and need your class covered for a bit so you can vote, please let me know.
• If you vote - please note that you must FILL IN THE OVAL, not X the oval.  Your vote will not count if you do it incorrectly.
• Please encourage parents to vote.  We will have maps of the polling places at the office and on the main doors of the building.  Polling does not take place at the schools any longer.
• We may have pamphlets out and encourage parents to vote.  We may NOT tell them how to vote.  We may NOT use school funds or materials to call or advertise.
