Next week is District wide grade level collaboration.  You will be meeting with your teams out at Purple Sage at 2:45.  Discussions should focus on your common core work and math unit studies.  PE, music, tech aides and  library personnel should also meet and could also discuss your part in supporting implementation of the common core standards and/or library transition to ereaders. 
The 2/3 RTI team will meet briefly in my office at 2:00pm.

Next Friday is our February Character Assembly at 8:15 A.M. Buddy classes Burke/Brocke are in charge of the student portion to introduce the character trait of honesty.  Yvonne will put out the citizenship pages for you to mark January.  We will add the office referral data (Skyward and three or more PBIS referrals).  Encourage students to wear their t-shirts over another shirt next Friday.  After collecting shirts from classes we will iron patches as quickly as possible.  If you could gather shirts and send them as a group to the office it would be helpful.

February 13th we are to have students present at the Board Meeting.  I need suggestions of topics and students to share.  We only have 5-10 minutes to present.  We could take video of student work.  We could set up a team to present on some things that are happening throughout the building - PBIS, MTI, Literacy after school program, advanced math/reading groups, etc.  Please help me in planning and preparing for this.






It is Blue Jean Friday and therefore a great opportunity to socialize after work, since you are already in comfy clothes.  We will gather at Casa Mexico.  Please stop by and laugh with us for awhile.

I forwarded an email earlier this week from Andrea Hobson, of the PTA.  She is wanting to update the teacher supply list.  If there is something you need in supplies for your class, they want to be a resource. Let her know.
