I know I've told you this before and I hope it doesn't get old - but you are an amazing staff! I love seeing how well you work together and share the load of instruction with your grade level teams. Everyone does their part to make sure we meet the needs of each student in our classrooms. Everyone does their part to make sure we meet the safety standards which is validated during the safety inspection. On snowy, rainy days you go out on duty without complaint, so kids can play. Today I was sitting with a mother while she filled out enrollment forms for new students. She looked up at me after awhile and said, "This school has a great feeling. You guys like kids. That is not true in every school." That is evident in how you as a staff deal with kids moving through the halls. You are being watched, and I'm proud of the culture you have created.
Universal screeners should be about done. Let me know if you need help in finishing administration, scoring or entering data - send me a message. IRI testing should also be complete. If you have any student who has not been tested please let me know.
I am scheduled out of the building next Tuesday and Thursday. Although I will be here Monday I am scheduled with teacher evaluation conferences ALL DAY. I must say that these conversations have been really fun to hold. You have worked very hard toward your professional development goals, and it is important to take the time to hear it from your perspective.
Next weeks notables:
- Monday - 3pm PBIS meeting
- Tuesday - Dads & Donuts, 3rd grade vision screenings
- Wednesday - RtI meeting w/ kindergarten and first grade team
- Friday - Blue Jean Friday
