Thursday, November 17, 2011

I did not have the opportunity to sit in on all or even much of your time with the Cathy, our math coach, but the time appears to have been well spent.  Teams seem to have been extremely focused and conversations were deep.  I have created and emailed a short survey to gather data and to guide preparation for next sessions.  Please take a few minutes to reflect and respond. Thank you.

Please help secure the building for Thanksgiving and help preserve energy by completing the following tasks.
  • Make sure your thermostat is programmed and then set it on 'continuous unoccupied'.
  • Take personal items home, as they are not covered by District insurance policies.
  • Unplug items such as personal refrigerators and microwaves.
  • Turn off power strips to computers.
  • Lock windows and doors and close blinds.
When we return......
Mid term reports are scheduled for Monday following Thanksgiving break.  Grades need to be up to date and midterm reports posted to Family Access.  You MAY print and send reports to all families if you like, but you expected to send copies to families if a child is performing below expectations.  It is advised that you also request a parent signature.

Dr. Bauscher will visit our school on Monday, November 29th.  He usually arrives around 8:30 and stays until about 10:00.  If your class is doing something that you would like to 'show off', let me know.  I love to highlight the wonderful things you are doing in your classes on a regular basis.

Thursday evening, December 1st we will host an informational Apangea session geared for parents at 6:30pm.  The PTA meeting will follow at 7:00.

Friday, December 2nd is our next Character Assembly.  Cheryl and Bruce are scheduled with the brief presentation.  I'm going to see if a Right Now Heating and Air representative can join us so we can say thank you for the sponsorship.  We will encourage students to WEAR their shirts layered OVER another shirt so we can iron patches.
