All I Know On Friday Night

I am looking forward to the casual time with staff on Sunday.  Most of you have been in during the last couple of weeks, preparing your rooms and meeting with colleagues.  Yet, it will be nice to have some casual time to visit before we hit the ground running Monday morning.  I hope everyone can come, even if only for a short time.  

We are still short 5 fourth/fifth grade students in order to petition to add another class.  Thank you Sandy for volunteering to move your room to the modular.  We will wait. 

Patsy has been able to stay at Mill Creek, filling her kindergarten spot from last year.  Our open kindergarten spot was listed last Tuesday so we are unable to hire until five day posting expires on Monday. We interviewed a few candidates on Friday, and had very good candidates.  We have secured a substitute to help us start.  Shauna Anderson will join us for our opening meetings on Monday and Tuesday.  Shauna and her family moved to Middleton last winter.  She has three years of previous teaching experience in Wendell, Idaho.

Lisa Bollinger came in Friday morning to work with her replacement, Leticia Bailey.  Leti  is working on her associate degree with education preparation classes at TVCC.  Her plans are to eventually get her bachelor's degree from BSU and become a teacher.

Quick Info:

• Our staff meeting will be Monday morning beginning at 8:30 in Kim's room.  Thank you Kim. 
• The afternoon will be yours to work in rooms except for a few scheduled 504 meetings. 
• I am working to update the staff handbook with an online format.  I kind of got stuck trying out new technological format. :) 
• The draft specials schedule is posted in the margin.  
• We will sign up for recess duties on Monday. 
• Collaboration will be whole staff on Wednesday.
