Staffing Updates

I am excited to report that Monday night at the board meeting the Board approved the following staffing decisions:

• Stephanie Burke will be assigned the all boys first grade classroom, taking the spot left by Brooke's leave request.
• Valerie Foster will join us, coming from Mill Creek, to teach the mixed gender third grade.  This is a result of Tracy's resignation in first grade and reassigning the FTE.

Welcome ladies!

I met with Val on Tuesday and showed her around our building.  We had some great conversation about her educational and personal story.  She asked some wonderful questions about our school and programs.  Here is some of what I learned.  She will answer to either Valerie or Val but prefers Val.   She graduated from ISU and is ready for her second year of teaching.  Val has been married for six years and has one daughter, Emily who is ready to begin kindergarten.  She taught Science in a museum for years and has a passion for math and science.  Val currently lives in Nampa.
