Skyward Finance Information

Major changes are coming your way!
There are some really great features opening up to you through the financial component of Skyward.  This is a different URL than your grade book or Family Access.  You have been assigned a temporary password, but must change your password at first login.  Please take note that if you try to login incorrectly three times you are logged out.  BUT after a failed attempt you will see a "forgot your password" link which will allow YOU to reset your information.  PLEASE use this feature if you forget your login.  It is much quicker than notifying Darren and waiting for him to unlock and reset your password. You night also save these links to your home computers for easy access in the future.

Beginning in May, if you have direct deposit you did not receive a check stub.  You may access your check stub information 24/7 now through the financial database.

Beginning in August you will submit requests for leave - sick, personal, professional, bereavement, payroll deduct - through Skyward.  You will start in Skyward to request leave.  Then if you mark that the absence needs a substitute you will automatically be redirected to Aesop to request a substitute.  (This has not been opened to staff at this time.)  We have requested additional training for individuals for how to set up Aesop to give preference to certain substitutes.

Insurance changes take place as of September 1, 2011.  Stephaine Santero is your building representative to this committee.  Darren or I could also answer some of your questions.  Please check out this document to see the plans for next year.  There will not be general enrollment for Blue Cross.  If you want to change plans you will need to request the change.  If you are not sure what plan for which you are currently enrolled you may check through Skyward Finance.  Log in / Employee Information / Payroll / Check History / Expand one month by clicking the + on the left side. Expand "benefits" by clicking the + on the left side.  Under description it will say Blue Cross A, B or C.  There is an increase in Preventative Care benefits.

Finally, the District is changing from Delta Dental to Blue Cross Dental beginning September 1.  This year, if you have met your maximum, it will reset in September and then again in January.  On the flip side this is the same for your deductible; if you met it already it will restart in September and again in January. (This is only the dental portion of our insurance.) You might check with your dentist to ensure they are a Blue Cross participant.
