Final Days

Schedule for PD is changing already!!!  Check the changes at the bottom.

During these last few days schedules are crazy I know.  We keep loosing groups of students. Would you please notify the office if you leave your room for a special location.  For example, if you are meeting up with your buddy class or taking an extra recess, just buzz the office so we can find you when a student arrives late or a parent wants to pick up their child early.

Nutrition Break on Friday will still be available, but the food service is asking that you bring your students through the serving line.  You may choose to take kids back to your room, or sit at the lunch tables.  The line will be open from 9:00 till 10:15. 

Please have students sign the border to frames preparing for volunteer gifts.  I have the pictures and we can help put them in frames so that you can send them home with students.

In an effort to provide some time together, we will purchase pizza for everyone on Friday.  I will make and bring a couple of salads to round it out.  So please plan to take a few moments to eat together after wave goodbye to the buses on Friday.



Professional development days next week are roughed out but I am still waiting to talk to Cathy Beals before finalizing.  Here is the draft:

• Friday afternoon - work on rooms and complete files and paper work
• Tuesday all day - work with Cathy Beals to unpack National Standards and map to enVision w/ MTI
• Wednesday morning - develop 2011 classes from class lists as grade level teams + time to finish in rooms.
• Wednesday afternoon - review math data from this year, math work.........
• Thursday/Friday - work in grade level teams creating essential questions, mapping curriculum or creating MTI lessons and assessments.
• Special people and extra assignments - Need dedicated work on PBIS to create a document like our RtI, spelling out everything we did this year but with better guidelines.  We also need to work on cleaning up the RtI document we created during our first professional development days.
