The District has added two evenings to the certified teacher contracts for parent conferences in April. The elementary schools needed to have the same conference nights set aside. After a lot of negotiation with varying schedules we are set for April 5th and 6th; the Tuesday and Wednesday following spring break from 4-7:15 each night. Please put these on your calendars. If you are unable to work one of these evenings submit the paperwork to use personal days or payroll deduction.
With two sessions rather than three, you will be unable to conference with all parents. Therefore we would like to set up the most at risk first. Please submit a list of these parents (those you want to see most) to Robin. I need your list by Friday. Then Lisa and Yvonne will begin setting conferences into a schedule. AFTER these are scheduled, we will send information to all parents so others may fill in as space is available. Teachers should aim to meet with a minimum of 50% of families.
There will be no classified staff on these conference evenings. The schools will use the "extras" (Toni, Cindy, Angie, Nicole, Lise, Greg) to help us cover offices when they are not meeting with parents.
Do we happen to have a time frame for conferencing on those days?
