Wednesday, March 2nd we will recognize the birthday of Dr. Seuss, favorite children's author. Our PTA will show up in costume to deliver pencils to students in the classroom. We have a collection of books you may borrow to share with your class. I will put them in the office and you can take and return throughout the day so more people can utilize them.
Students and staff are encouraged to dress up as a Dr. Seuss character for the day. We will take a photo of Whoville participants. (Put this on your to do list Lisa, so we don't forget.)
Check out this website for ideas and resources.

Here is a fact from the biography section of the website.
"If you want to pronounce the name the way his family did, say Zoice, not Soose. Seuss is a Bavarian name, and was his mother’s maiden name: Henrietta Seuss’s parents emigrated from Bavaria (part of modern-day Germany) in the nineteenth century. Seuss was also his middle name."
Easy connection to those studying immigration. :)
