Skyward

The District has started to move the financial programs to the Skyward platform.  The first step has been at the District level and the business financials including your W-2 and pay stub information.  You will soon be able to access your information at will.  This causes some concern as to Skyward being left open on your desktop.  It shouldn't be a new concern since you have been dealing with confidential information all along, but now it is YOUR confidential information.  There were a couple of suggestions for dealing with this situation, one of which is to have Skyward "time-out" if inactive for 20 minutes.
Other things you can do to protect your email and other accounts is to set your machine to screen lock or to get in the habit of setting it to "sleep" when walking away.
