In honor of Coey Collard, Kim's class is leading a fundraising event for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. All proceeds are used to support cancer patients and to work toward a cure. The L&L Society helps conduct what is called Pennies for Patients. Coey's class would like this to become an act of compassion for the entire community rather than a school or classroom contest. We are working to make connections with the other school buildings to see if they will participate also. Here are the rough plans:
- $10,000 goal - pretty lofty
- February 14th assembly to launch Pennies for Patients
- Collect money February 14- 28th
- Special days to highlight L&L (hat day, PJ's, jerseys, Penny for Your Thoughts)
