SKYWARD

I've had a couple teachers inquire about Skyward use from home since they were having difficulty logging in.  Again, one of the great benefits of moving to this system is that it is available to you from home (or wherever you have Internet access).  The clue is that it is a secure website and is not a www (World Wide Web) application.  So either type the URL accurately or use the connection from our links page (I'm adding it now).  The correct address is https://skyweb.msd134.org/

On Wednesday the District began a beta test of Parent Access.  The plan is to open it to the rest of the community next week.  Now parents will have access to their child's attendance, grades, notes and possibly discipline.  They can sign up for email notifications if grades drop below a level or if the child is absent.  There is a link that will connect them directly to your school email so that they can send you questions or comments.  This is important for you to know because you will need to begin using the grade book AND keeping it fairly up to date. Kim & Cherie are set up in the beta test if you would like to see what they see Skyward Parent Access.

Mid terms are due out on Monday. Grade levels were to determine if they were printing from Skyward or using the old style.  Either is fine this go round.  Tamie did make the adjustments to report cards that were requested, so look at them again to see if they are correct.  Darcy and I will attend another grade book training this afternoon.  If you have questions send them to us.
