When to Retire?

If you are close or calculating retirement/early retirement, I would encourage you to ask questions and seek financial information. There is a strong chance that this will be the last year for early retirement incentives. There is also a strong possibility that if you are in your last five years in this career, you have peaked in salary. I'm not pushing anyone to leave. I, myself don't think about retirement but should look at all information rather than making a decision by not making a decision. Administrators no longer have early retirement benefits, but certified teachers do. Mike Friend would be willing to steer you to resources to guide your decisions.
