Attached is the basic plan. We would like to include all certified staff (yes, me too) and any classified that are willing. If you are a certified staff member and are highly opposed or a willing classified member, please contact Jelena. We will start on Monday, February 22 and host the assembly Monday, March 15th at 2:15 PM. This will allow further voting (donations) during the Core Knowledge Fair.
I think this would be fun!
ReplyDeleteI cant wait to bring my quartes in
ReplyDeleteI would also like to say that the students chosen to throw the pies will be highly trained individuals who will be courteous and gentle:)
ReplyDeleteSounds fun, and I will be saving all my quarters for Jelena's box!
ReplyDeleteI am not interested in having a pie thrown at myself or any other teacher. I feel many of our students are not sure where the line is with fun and respect. "actions speak louder than words"
ReplyDeleteI have thought about this for a while and I will not be attending the assembly. I feel that too many of our students cannot determine the line between respectful situations and having fun at someone else's expense. We spend time telling them to treat others the way they want to be treated and then we show them otherwise.
ReplyDeleteI haven't thought about this for very long, but I know I do not want to have a pie thrown in my face. How embarrassing! I will join in anyway, because my boys would love to play this game. They probably will bring in lots of money and cheer at whoever wins the honor. I'll do this because I'm sure they are compassionate people who just want to have some fun.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to laughing at myself and letting the kids have a little fun at my expense for a great cause!
ReplyDeleteI have also thought about this and I am feeling the same as Cathy P. and Anonymous. So, I am not going to attend the assembly.
