IRI testing is scheduled to begin next week. K-first testers will start at Purple Sage, move to Heights and then to Mill Creek. Second and third grade testing will begin at Heights on Monday, then rotate to PS and then to MC. This will help us utilize testing space more effectively.
The test has again changed for kindergarten and first grade. Kindergarten will only report letter naming fluency, but will also be evaluated on letter sound fluency. I have asked Aaron to have phoneme segmentation screened as part of our literacy data. This will be done on a separate date and time. First grade students will be tested on letter sound fluency and passage fluency but only the LSF score is reported to the State. Second and third grade will continue to be assessed with passage fluency.
