Feb 6-10 is designated National School Counselor Week.  Take a moment and send a thank you to Angie and her support team, Cathy and Brooke, for the work they do with our students and for us.  What a blessing to have that extra touch available.

Skyward look is changing - beware!  It will be new and improved and more efficient in the long run, but you should be aware.  It will have more of a dashboard effect, limiting the number of clicks required to reach your destination.  We also will have Skyport, a landing site for many of your frequently used tools. I will let you know when to expect the change as soon as I know.

Reading and math consumable orders need to be submitted by March first.  Please get together with your team and create a list of your needed text items and the quantity.  You can get a current student count for the previous grade from Lisa. 

Travel costs - per diem reimbursements.  The skyward financial expense reimbursement will have a form so that you can apply for the reimbursement according to District policy.  When you return from your trip the District will be able to do an auto deposit to your account (or write a check if you do not have auto deposit).  If you prefer the daily per diem amount prior to travel, you may request such, but you will need to provide enough lead time so that a requisition can go through the approval process and a check written on your behalf.

Roundabouts on Emmett Road, north and south of the High School were put in place to direct traffic flow.  You are required by law to adhere to their use.  For example, leaving the front of the school you must turn to the north out of the parking lot and use the roundabout if you need to head south.  Police are ticketing based upon video for transgressors.  Staff members using the facilities, even after hours are encouraged to follow all traffic laws approaching and leaving the premises.



Skyward referrals will be opened for parents to view.  Please make sure that your comments are appropriate for parent/guardian viewing.  These comments have always been a portion of open record law, but we have not had them open for parent viewing in the past. Do not use Skyward as an open comment text box.  Do not list other student names when adding a referral on a student.  Do not list staff names, rather use, "the counselor" or "the person on duty".  Do not use emotion.
