The Safety Inspection is planned to take place in our building Tuesday afternoon. It could happen before or after but that is the plan. Darcy did a walk through check and I've asked you to check your areas. Please put away ALL doorstops before you leave today. They should not be available or visible.
I have been unable to secure a replacement for Britney, our overload EA since she was hired full time in Vallivue. We have recently posted the position for applications. If you have a lead for a qualified person to work 19 hours per week, please let me know or encourage them to apply.
Next Wednesday, following collaboration there will be a representative in the library to offer information for Loan Forgiveness opportunities. If you have student loans or would like to gain another degree you might check out this information.
At the school leadership meeting last Monday the school fluoride program was discussed. We have decided to do a little bit of research and continue discussions to verify that we are using class time for a necessary practice. I will post articles pro and con, based on what research and opinions we can locate. I ask that read them and share opinions either through blog comments or reporting back to your leadership rep. Whether we decide to continue or to discontinue the practice we just want to make an informed decisions. Until we change, it is imperative that you have students do fluoride rinse weekly.
Dads & Donuts is scheduled for Tuesday, January 24, 2012 @ 7:00 A.M. The PTA is hoping for a few staff volunteers to help serve and visit with families. Many of our teachers will have to be in Meridian for the next Regional Unit Study meeting and may not be available. Please let me know if you can help.
