Northwest Professional Educators (NWPE) Teacher Scholarship and Classroom Grants –

PSC Professional Development Grants now available – Educators can now apply for the Professional Standards Commission’s Professional Development Grant. Grants for up to $500 will be made available to applicants every three years. We hope teachers will write creative and innovative proposals with their colleagues and for their students. Grant monies cannot be used to obtain credit. For more information, please visit http://www.sde.idaho.gov/site/psc/index.htm. Applications are due by November 15, 2011 and/or April 1, 2012. – CapEd is offering a grant program in an effort to help teachers and students explore additional educational opportunities they might not otherwise enjoy. Each month during the school year (October – April), CapEd awards outstanding teachers with grants to pay for programs, materials, field trips, or special projects for the students in their classrooms. $2,250 is awarded monthly, with a $750 maximum per individual grant. Educators can now apply for NWPE Teacher Scholarships, Classroom Grants and New Classroom Start-Up Grants. Teacher Scholarships (up to $500) are designed to help educators advance their professional career and pays for conferences, workshops, travel expenses, tuition, and books. Classroom Grants (up to $500) can help pay for a class project or materials such as software, supplies, calculators, books, lab materials, and technology. $250 New Classroom Start-Up Grants are available for teachers setting up new classrooms. New Classroom Start-Up Grant applications are due by December 31, 2011. Applications for NWPE Teacher Scholarships and Classroom Grants are due by March 31, 2012.
