Next Week District Collaboration

Next Wednesday all elementary staff will collaborate in job like groups.  Let me know if you have questions about the schedule.
  • Educational Assistants will meet at Heights from 2:15-3:15pm for a brief MTI training.  This should give you an overview of the MTI process for which teachers are required to train and are working to implement in classrooms across the District.  You will receive an article to read beforehand for preparation.
  • Librarians and Computer Lab EAs will meet at Heights from 2:15-3:15pm to develop awareness of Common Core State Standards that impact their educational assignments.
  • Title I teachers will meet with Aaron at the Heights from 3-3:45.
  • Special education staff will meet at the Heights from 3-3:45.  Tammie suggested that you collaborate on new IEP and Medicade software.  Bring your questions and your secret finds to share with others.
  • Toni, Tessa & Lise will meet at Mill Creek from 3-3:45.  Your main objectives will be to discuss grading practices (how to determine when to give grades above or below S+/S-) and to research educational uses for the Apple I-Touch.  How can you utilize them tin enhance your teaching?
  • Kindergarten teachers will meet at Mill Creek from 3-3:45pm.  Please bring a copy of your report card.  We would like you to compare your cards for consistency and turn in any necessary changes.
  • First through fifth grade teachers will meet at Mill Creek from 3-3:45pm.  Please bring your green book, A Repair Kit for Grading.   Each grade level at each school should have a copy.  Agenda items we would like you to discuss are:
    • Homework (quantity, type, communication, grading). Use "Fix" #1 & 3 in your discussion.
    • Formatting of report cards.  If you have any adjustments you would like made to the LOOK of the report card.  Val will have a printed copy for your review.  Please submit changes to Robin.
    • Communicate event dates for calendars (details to events can come later).
