Elaine Mathiasen, from the Middleton Library needs to visit with each class for a few minutes to share the summer reading program. She wrote a grant for the program partnering with our school again. As part of the stipulations SHE must advertise with our students. At the lower grades she will read a story and talk about the program. At the upper grades she will be brief, but share information and fliers. Elaine will be here on Monday, May 23rd beginning around 9:45. If there is a particular time you would like, let me know. Otherwise she will drift into classes. If it is not a good time for you to allow her access, just ask her nicely to return a bit later. I apologize for any inconvenience, but seems this is the only way to meet the guidelines and coordinate with her schedule.
For a few weeks I have been digesting the results of the survey taken by the District. I'm not sure of the best way to gather more information, before writing my professional improvement goals. So here are links to both the certified and classified opinions for our school. As part of your closing procedures, instead of the school improvement form, I will give you opportunity to respond electronically to some simple questions. These questions will be short answer regarding facilities, schedules, programs, and leadership.

Lisa and Yvonne finished putting student names on the class lists and have them saved on the t::drive for you to complete as step one in creating 2011 classes. The most important factor to filling in the chart is to be consistent as a grade level. The closer you work in providing similar scores (especially behavior and math) the easier to divide students equally.
Skyward requires some adjustments to our end of the year grading. Although Skyward saves time calculating grades, Leadership Team members pointed out that it still takes time to put comments into the program. This is why we went ahead and scheduled end of the year movies. Once grades are in and complete, the report card auto generates final grades. Use these final grades for posting in the cumulative folders. We should print the report cards as late as possible (first thing Friday morning) to give accurate attendance data.
Check the blog regularly these next few weeks, as I will throw information up here as often as possible. Bruce asked me why I choose to use the blog. My reply - it provides everyone equal access to the information as efficiently as possible.
