It is late Wednesday night, but without school on Friday I thought this might be more fitting to finish tonight.  If you don't read it till Friday you will be getting a later start on my challenge so read fast.  :0

Jayna's class is launching the shoe drive today.  They have creaated flyers and commercials to inform of details.  We will be seeking new or gently used shoes.  There will be collection bins.  More details to follow.  Thank you Jayna, for biting this off. 

The annual School Board Tour Luncheon is scheduled for Friday, October 15th.  If you have something going on around 1pm that you could show off, let me know.  I love to show them what great things are happening live and in person.

Sub folders should be complete and turned in.  I have Cherie checking through them and letting you know if there is anything that needs adjusting.  The IT department is ready to roll out instructions to substitutes on new log ins for them to access the computers therefore your projectors and smartboards.  Please make sure you include how to operate technology equipment.  (Or you can post in your folder within the subshare folder on the t:drive.  See below)

The new substitute log-in information will be created by Mike and handed out by Lisa when they check in each morning.  We will also place a copy of log-in particulars in your sub folders,  You should not have a second password (past Novell) on your computer. There is already a sub folder on the shared drive for you to put notes or documents for your substitute.  You can set a folder with your name in the subshare folder.  Any notes from the substitute back to the teacher need to be added to that sub folder on the t:drive.  Anything saved to the desktop will not save.  Do not share your personal log in information.    Not even in your sub folder.  :)

Here is your challenge or extra credit activity:
Try linking your class newsletters to Family Access.  Maybe we can reduce printing as they year progresses.  First five to use the message center for posting your newsletter or other class information will receive a prize.  Let me know.  Reminder: I added directions for using the message center under the Skyward page of this blog.
You can add due dates to things like book orders, assignments to the Family Access calendar.
