Legislative Update

  • The 2010 Idaho Legislature adjourned on Monday, March 29. This is the final Legislative Update for 2010.
  • Senate Bill 1418, the FY2011 Public Schools Budget that was approved by the full House and full Senate, is available online at http://legislature.idaho.gov/legislation/2010/S1418.htm. It is awaiting the Governor’s signature.
  • House Bill 699, a bill that would require each school district to create an Internet-based website with searchable expenditure and revenues, passed the both the House and Senate and now proceeds to the Governor for signature. The full text of the bill can be found online at: http://legislature.idaho.gov/legislation/2010/H0699.htm.
  • House Bill 493, the Mastery Advancement Pilot Program, passed both the House and Senate and now proceeds to the Governor for signature. The bill is available online at http://legislature.idaho.gov/legislation/2010/H0493.htm.
  • A full list of the approved laws and rules affecting Idaho’s K-12 public schools will be discussed during the Post-Legislative Tour and made available online at http://www.sde.idaho.gov/site/postLeg/ on Friday, April 2.
