State Department Update

A few seats are still open for the Mathematical Thinking for Instruction (MTI) in Summer 2010. Registration opened Monday, March 15, and nearly all classes filled within a few hours. If you are still interested in registering for a summer course, please visit http://www.sde.idaho.gov/site/math/mti.htm.
If you are unable to take the MTI course this summer, we will be offering more courses in the fall. The fall course schedule will be posted on April 1, 2010 and registration will open April 15 at 8 a.m. MST. For more information, please visit http://www.sde.idaho.gov/site/math/mti.htm.

55 DISTRICTS AWARDED TITLE II-D TECHNOLOGY GRANTS
Middleton is one of more than 50 school districts who were awarded federal Title II-D: Classrooms of the 21st Century (C21) technology grants totaling $2.7 million. Each of the 55 awarded districts received an estimated $50,000 to invest on technology in the classroom. Title II-D Enhancing Education Through Technology grant is a federal technology grant program. The primary purpose is to increase student achievement through the effective integration of technology into curricula and instruction.
