I hope you have had a restful few days catching up or attending State Conferences. Looking at the calendar, this month will go very quickly. So strap your boots on buddy!

The school leadership team needs to meet Monday after school. We will address the Picturing America prints, Author Gary Hogg's visit, lunch procedure follow up and anything else they bring to the table.

Project TLC is a service project designed to give to our military. Kathi Lee brought in a packet of information that I will place in the faculty lounge. Deadline is October 21st but activities are as simple as writing letters, decorating lunch sacks or creating ornaments. If you are interested you can make arrangements with Kathi.

Are you prepared to answer questions of parents at conference concerning GT programming for their child? Angie and Nicole have been working with teams and conducting testing but are available to assist you with moving forward with understanding or programming. Please reach out to them as needed. Angie is overseeing second and third grade while Nicole focuses on fourth and fifth.

I and a team of teachers will be attending the conference for the Association of Single-Sex Public Education next weekend. We leave early Friday morning and return very late Sunday evening. I am scheduled to present our story during a break out session on Sunday. We hope to come back with other wonderful ideas to share with staff on best practices in gender responsiveness. Attending this year are Lisa H., Catherine, Stephanie S., Stephanie B., Brooke and Nicole.
